Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into small pieces and boil in a pot of water for about 15 minutes or until they are soft.
Drain the potatoes and transfer them to a mixing bowl. Mash them with a potato masher or fork until they are smooth.
Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika powder, and all-purpose flour to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Scoop the potato mixture with a tablespoon and shape them into balls. You should be able to make around 12-15 balls.
Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then coat them in breadcrumbs.
Heat up the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the potato balls in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Use a slotted spoon to remove the potato balls from the pan and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve hot with your favourite dip or sauce.
