Nutrition: per serving

  • 300 g Pizza Dough Homemade or store-bought
  • 12 small Meatballs Precooked
  • 150 g Tomato Sauce
  • 100 g Mozzarella Cheese Grated
  • 1 tsp Oregano Dried
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • Basil Leaves Fresh for garnish
  • Salt And Black Pepper Adjust to taste

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or 392°F (356°F fan).
  • Take the pizza dough and divide it into 12 equal portions, then shape them into round balls.
  • Use your hands to flatten each dough ball, forming small pizza bases.
  • Position a pre-cooked meatball at the centre of each dough circle.
  • Gently fold the edges of the dough over the meatball, ensuring a secure seal by pinching the dough closed around it.
  • Arrange the meatball-filled dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil to achieve a golden finish.
  • Spoon a small amount of tomato sauce onto each meatball sub bite and sprinkle them with grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Season each bite with dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown, and the cheese becomes melted and bubbly.
  • Once done, remove the bites from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
