Ingredients

  • 175 g Butter Unsalted, softened
  • 150 g Sugar Granulated
  • 150 g Brown Sugar Light
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 300 g All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 200 g Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Take a large mixing bowl and blend together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract into the mixture, ensuring thorough mixing.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt, whisking them together.
  • Gradually introduce the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a cookie dough forms.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Grease a 10-inch skillet or an ovenproof frying pan, and transfer the cookie dough into it, spreading it out evenly.
  • Place the skillet or pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the centre remains slightly gooey.
  • After removing it from the oven, allow the cookie to cool in the skillet for a few minutes.
  • To serve, enjoy the warm chocolate chip skillet cookie directly from the skillet or pair it with a scoop of ice cream.
