Chapli Kebab

Chapli kebabs are a popular Pakistani appetiser commonly served by street vendors. Juicy, tender, and flavourful, this scrumptious starter is perfect to feed a crowd.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Minced Meat Chicken
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 4 pieces Ginger
  • 4 Garlic
  • 1 handful Coriander
  • 150 g Gram Flour
  • 1 tsp Crushed Chillies
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Coriander Seeds

Instructions

  • In a blender add the chopped onions, rocket chillies, garlic cloves, and coriander before blending until a thick paste has formed but be sure not to blend until completely smooth.
  • In a bowl add the paste to the mince along with the gram flour, turmeric powder, crushed chillies, salt, and coriander seeds. and then mix until all the ingredients have been incorporated.
  • If the mixture is soft, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. (Optional)
  • Heat up oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • Using your hands add some oil or water, form balls in your hands, and then flatten them to form a circular shape, about 1cm thick before deep frying them in a pan.
  • Flip over after 4-5 minutes or until the side is lightly browned and allow to cook on the other side.
  • When cooked and both sides are evenly browned remove and set aside on a paper towel.
  • Serve with mint sauce or green chutney and enjoy!
