Ingredients

  • 200 g Jowar Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 100 ml Warm Water

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the jowar flour and salt.
  • Gradually add warm water to the flour mixture and knead to form a smooth and firm dough. The amount of water may vary, so add it gradually until you achieve the right consistency.
  • Once the dough is formed, cover it and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  • After resting, divide the dough into equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  • Take one dough ball and flatten it into a disc using your palms.
  • Dust the work surface with some jowar flour and roll out the flattened dough into a thin circle, about 5-6 inches in diameter.
  • Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
  • Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough onto the hot tawa.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes on one side until you see bubbles forming.
  • Flip the bhakri and cook for another 1-2 minutes until both sides are cooked and lightly browned.
  • Remove from the tawa and serve hot with your favorite curry or chutney.
