Crispy paratha is a traditional South Asian flatbread known for its flaky texture and buttery taste. It's made from whole wheat flour, rolled thin, and cooked until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sifted plain flour and salt.
Gradually add water while kneading the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Flatten each dough ball and brush with vegetable oil.
Roll out each dough ball into a thin circle.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
Place a rolled-out dough circle onto the pan and cook until bubbles start to appear.
Flip the paratha and brush with oil, then cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
Serve hot with your favourite curry or condiment.
Notes
Ensure the water added to the dough is at room temperature for optimal dough consistency.Nutritional facts:The provision of nutritional information is done so merely as a courtesy and should not be taken as a guarantee.
