Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Coconut Desiccated
  • 200 g Caster Sugar
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 160°C (325°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the desiccated coconut and caster sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
  • Gently fold the whisked egg whites into the coconut and sugar mixture. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Using your hands or a spoon, shape the mixture into small mounds and place them on the prepared baking tray.
  • Allow the macaroons to rest for about 30 minutes to let them set.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the macaroons turn golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, your delicious Coconut Macaroons are ready to enjoy!
