  • 500 g Mixed Vegetables Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil for drizzling


  • Begin by washing and preparing the vegetables, ensuring they are peeled, trimmed, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • Take a large pot and fill it with water, approximately 2 inches deep. Place it over medium heat and bring it to a boil.
  • Set up a steamer basket or metal colander inside the pot, making sure it doesn’t touch the water.
  • Add the prepared vegetables to the steamer basket, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  • Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and steam the vegetables for about 8-10 minutes until they reach a tender texture, while retaining some crispness. Avoid overcooking them.
  • Once the vegetables are steamed to perfection, transfer them to a serving dish.
  • Enhance the flavour and moisture by drizzling a small amount of olive oil over the steamed vegetables.
  • Gently toss the vegetables to ensure they are evenly coated with the olive oil.
  • Serve the steamed vegetables either as a delightful side dish or a healthy complement to your main course.
